The discs we produce are exact copies of the master disc that you give us. Meaning that it is absolutely essential that you check your master carefully before giving it to us. Here are some things you should keep an eye on:
- Test, check, check again and … check again!
- Make sure that your disc is free of fingerprints, scratches or any other blemishes.
- Use high-quality blank media to create your master.
- Writing speed to an audio master should NEVER be greater than 4X.
- If your disc has multiple sessions, so will the copies.
- Your master CD must be burned in “single session, disc at once” mode.
- If your disc has an open session, so will the copies (CD-R only).
- In spite of what they claim, software programs that use packet-writing technology or which require you to format the disc before starting to record (such as Direct CD™), are undesirable for master discs. We will not duplicate discs like this. However, we can create a new master for you if you do not have access to the appropriate software.
- If there’s a virus on your master, it will also be in the copies.
- If your audio disc has clicks and pops, the duplication will not clean them out. However it will not make them any louder.
- Autorun procedures vary enormously depending on the application and the platform for reading the disc. The golden rule is still Check, Re-Check, Check again. The duplication process will not affect the autorun.
